Some how Haku had managed to escape the Bath House for just a little while. Well, it was almost afternoon so it made sense that nobody had caught him coming out here. Even he was surprised that Yu-Baaba hadn't summoned him to do anything yet. Usually he would be worrying about getting something done and have no time for just a simple easy rest. Never did he get something so luxorious. The sun was shinning brightly slowly creeping towards the middle of the sky making making everything around it shine brightly. The grass was long and still stretching out towards the sky and was the greenest Haku had ever seen it. Everything around was perfectly quiet. There were no rustling of plants or the sound of wind blowing through. Just peace. Haku drew in a long deep breath as he looked up at the sky closing his eyes. His right cheek had a hint of red to it still because of the little 'gift' he had recieved earlier from that human girl. The long strands of forest green hair fell back from his face as he stood there perfectly still. He hadn't felt like this in a long time. Felt that feeling of complete peace, that was. Everything seemed to go away. His thoughts were the only thing left unclear. Everything that girl had told him hung in his thoughts and the hopes that Chihiro would be able to stay. He doubted that he would ever have a day without a worry. Well, that was life for him.

Perfect the weather was so nice,Chihiro made her way from the bath house down towards the grassy field.Going past all the spirit resturants and then down more steps, taking the winding path that led to the dry creek bed.During the day it was a dry creek bed at least, with only a hint of water gurgling through it.
Chihiro stopped at the edge of the stairs that led into the field, there was someone else out there as well. She squinted her eyes and noticed it was Haku, but she thought he would be doing something else right now or just....enjoying the sunny skies.Making her way towards him she tryed to act sneaky, the element of surprise most people would never suspect it.When she was close enough, she came right up beside him on his right side with a grin.
"BOO.....did I scare you,uh hey Haku why is your cheek red".

Haku's head turned slightly in surprise and he felt his heart jump slightly. But, thankfully, it was only Chihiro. The only person he had any interest in seeing at the moment. She was the only one not pressuring him to do something at the moment. When she asked about his cheek his right hand went up automaticaly and touched the red mark. That stupid girl.. "It's nothing," he said reassuringly. He smiled at her sweetly and then looked back up at the sky trying to stay off the subject of the little event that caused his cheek to turn the hint of red it was. He was actually surprised that she had noticed it. Haku hadn't thought it would even leave a mark. But it did kind of hurt when he recieved that slap across the face. Just thinking about it mad him angry. Where did the human ever get the nerve to slap him? All he was doing was doing his job by watching her and then he goes and gets slapped. What kind of thanks was that..

"Alright then if you say so,it was just a question".
Taking a few steps foreward she spread her arms out, like a eagle ready to take flight into the beckoning skies above. In this field she could feel free and not have a care in the world,it was peaceful and wide open.Looking to her right side though she could see the path that led home through that archway, ignoring it and looking up at the sky she closed her eyes with her arms still outstretched.
"I love the wide open field, the feel of the sun on my face and my mind clear of anything".

Haku's eyes drifted around aimlessly as he stayed quiet. His hand finally fell from his cheek as his thoughts drifted to other matters instead of that. He couldn't let it get to him. Yu-Baaba would probably turn her into a pig or something anyways. And if she didn't Haku probably wouldn't see her again after she left. "Yeah, it's nice," Haku said rather dryly. It truly was nice and he was enjoying everything about it, but his mind was also plagued with those cursed thoughts about anything and everything that went on in the bath house. He was always blamed for everything or was expected to know everything that went on. And when he didn't he'd get snapped at. What a life. Well, it was better than nothing at all.

Opening her eyes and lowering her arms,Chihiro gave a concerned look to Haku. What was his problem today,he wasn't being his normal cheerful self around her and it she seemed kinda worried.Did something happen in the bath house, was it to do with that new girl she met or perhaps Yu-baaba.
"Haku are you really okay,we can talk about anything right".
She walked over to him till they we're eye to eye,the worry never left her eyes as she tryed her hardest to read his. That was silly though she was just a human,Chihiro didn't have any mystical powers or special abilities but one thing was for sure and those we're her feelings.
"Please tell me what happened,I thought we could tell eachother everything".

Haku kept his eyes away at first. He wasn't sure why he was bugged so much at the moment. For some reason he felt a little betrayed or like a failure. Something like that. Not knowing what was wrong with him bothered him even more, though. His eyes finally gave in and looked over into Chihiro. She seemed sincerly worried about him. But all he did was give her another smile. "It's hardly anything to worry about," he told her. "I don't even know why it would bug me. Just thinking I guess.." He sighed moving his eyes away again. He felt a little bad for not saying anything about it. She really was worried and after she said her last sentance, he couldn't take the feeling of guilt any more. "Just heard some rumors I suppose," he said keeping his eyes away. "About the Kohaku river and some other things. Nothing much."

"Rumors about your home, but they filled in the river I should know".
Was that why he was so bothered, because of rumors about his home. But once a spirit loses their home it can never be replaced, and Chihiro was sure they wouldn't tear down all those buildings just to rebuild a river.
"They we're just rumors, you shouldn't listen to stupid things like that.No matter what anyone says,I bet it was that girl right who told you these rumors".
Chihiro lowered her gaze to the green grass, her brown ponytail fell over her left shoulder. There was nothing to be concerned about, they we're just stupid rumors that could never come true....at least she hoped not.

Haku kept his eyes still on the grass to his left side as he took in her words. She was right and he knew that. Maybe it was just a little hope in his heart, but at the same time he didn't want it to be true. Chihiro was already stuck here now. He had no reason to go back anymore. He was content now. Wasn't he? Then why did he feel so restless and want to have something more in his life? Just stupid thoughts. That was all. "She wanted me to go back to the human world to some village," Haku said shaking his head slightly. "But I wouldn't leave. Why would I want to waste my time in some human's village anyway if you weren't there." He sighed deeply which caused his chest to rise and quickly fall. He knew he wouldn't leave Chihiro behind. Not after what she had done for him.

Lifting her head up she took in his words,he rejected that girl's offer because of her.Chihiro already said she didn't want to leave Haku's side, even if it cost her the life she knew in the human world. This is where she wanted to be with him the most,to stay now and for as long as she can.
"Because I would be the same way,I wouldn't go if you weren't there Haku".

"I know," Haku said finally looking back over at her with a smile. "Just don't worry about me. I'll be fine." He kept on his smile to reassure her that he was alright now and he always would be. There hadn't been any major drama lately involving him. He doubted there ever would be unless someone like Chihiro came along again. She was the first person to ever really bring some real excitment into the bath house. Well, at least starting from the time he was here. He wasn't sure if anything had happened in it before. Anything worth while at least. Chihiro was definetly something special and he was lucky she had accidently stumbled into the spirit world in the first place. He truly was grateful. Haku quickly leaned forward and gave Chihiro a small peck on the cheek to show how much he cared. Sure it was just a little kiss, but Haku never went around kissing people. So she had to feel a little special about it.

Chihiro could feel her cheeks burning, she knew they we're turning the color pink.Haku had just given her a small kiss on the cheek, she went to say something but no words came to her at the momment so instead she turned her back to him trying to hide her blushing face.
"You.....that was......nice,um....the grass is beautiful....I mean guh".
She felt like such a idiot for babbling, true Chihiro cared for Haku and loved him even but that was sudden and quite a shock. As soon as she calmed down abit, she turned back towards him and returned the kiss of course on the cheek.
"Your special to me Haku,I never want to lose you......gah i'm blushing again".

Haku tilted his head slightly when she turned away. He had a slight smile on her face because of her reaction. It was rather cute, actually. He expected her to do something like that though, yet at the same time didn't. But it was alright. He never really showed that sort of affection towards anyone anyways. So she kind of had a right to be a little shocked. When she told him that he was special his smile grew a little and a little laugh escaped from between his lips. "Well, Chihiro, your special to me too," he explained trying not to laugh at her embarassment. "And I promise I will never leave you no matter what, ok?"

"I'll hold you to that promise Haku, but next time a little warning before you do that".
Her face was still with a hint of pink, she gave him a light shove backwards so he would fall in the grass.Chihiro couldn't help but return the smile,to her that little kiss on the cheek was special to her now and forever.Maybe someday they would,no probably not...it was okay she was enjoying her time right now.

At first Haku was doing fine at keeping his balance after Chihiro had pushed him. He was about to laugh since she couldn't get him pushed over, but with his luck, he stumbled over his own two feet and flailed his arms around only to fall to the ground with a small 'whoa' escaping his lips. He hit the ground with a very soft thud and was almost flat on his back, but he pushed himself up with his elbows. "What was that for?" he asked looking up at her with a confused smile. "Did I do something wrong?" He tilted his head curiously, but kept a little smile on his face to make sure she knew that he wasn't really angry at all. Just a little surprised that he had been so clumsy. He never stumbled around like that..
