Softly and steadily, a sandled foot gracefully landed on the ground followed by another. A gentle breeze blew around his form and blew his uniform and his forest green hair around the sharp emerald eyes. When the wind finally died down and all was silent, the boy known as Haku glanced around only using his eyes. Everything was perfectly still. There was no noise and no sign of any living, or should he say, decieced being to be in sight. That was good. No one to bother him. And no, this was not another one of Yu-Baaba's missions she had sent him on. It was merely a stress reliever. He knew he would be punished for this. It was night and the Bath House would be as busy as ever. And he wouldn't be there. Yu-Baaba's favorite little servant would be missing and she would be sure to let the boy know that she wasn't happy. Oh what a night this would be. As he stepped forward slowly his steps could hardly be heard. His face empty of expression and his mind heavey with thoughts. There was so much to think about. No matter what. He could be happy and still be burdened with terrible thoughts. The one that bothered him most was the one he had thought about ever since he had met Chihiro. Was he ever going to leave the Bath House and be free? That was the only thing he wanted answered.. but, he of all people knew that answers didn't come so easily..

Shi ran very fast but unheard through the the swamp. Her amethyst eyes saw what was unseen by others as the childlike wind surrounded her and blew her cinnamon and gold hair playfully twisting it and turning it as if a game. But she was not interested in the game so Shi let the wind play alone as she continued to run as if on air. Shi turned her head back and forth looking through the swamp. Till at last she found what she was looking for, Haku. She walked up slowly behind him to suprised him and slowly pounced. "Hello big brother what are you doing all the way out here Yu- Baaba is looking for you what are u doing standing here you wish to become a tree." said Shi playfully but no one ever gets her jokes.

Haku turned his head and noticed that it was Shi who was speaking to him. He should have known by her voice. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he looked over towards her. He never really minded having her company since she wasn't really much of a bother to him. She never had been. But the news of Yu-Baaba did trouble him slightly. He didn't plan on going back yet. Which he knew would go down terribly in the end. Too bad for him. He would just have to face that later. Not now. Now he was just going to try and ease his troubled mind. "I knew she would start looking for me sooner or later," he spoke calmly. "But I plan on having her 'worry' about me a little more. And what are you doing way out here. Shouldn't you be back at the Bath House as well?"

Shi smiled widely. "Actually when she mention you was gone I took the opportunity to find you she'll just think when we go back that I found you and returned you," said Shi "But we are in no hurry yet." she leaned against a tree and looked up at the sky.

Haku watched Shi with a rather vacant expression plastered across his features. His eyes simply looked back at her with the same intensity they always held but his body language showed very little interest in anything. He didn’t move from his spot and let his eyes do the work as they watched Shi. Once she had leaned up against a tree Haku tore his gaze away to look out over the swamp. Of course, this didn’t last too long considering it did not hold anything of Haku’s interest. “So, you came to look for me,” Haku inquired to himself while craning his head back slightly to give almost a snobbish look. He didn’t mean it of course. “Hmm, you’re right. No hurry to get back to Yu-Baaba. But, then again, there isn’t much else we can do out here.” Haku refrained from giving a bored sigh and relaxed his neck again to look toward the ground before looking back at Shi. The same blank expression rested on his face but behind it laid a deep thoughtfulness. It was strange having in someone in the bath house who seemed to be in the same situation as himself. She was a river spirit like him and had lost her own home, as far as he knew. Maybe that was why they seemed to get along better then the other spirits in the bath house. They almost seemed to know the same pain as the other. If that wasn’t the case, then Haku wasn’t sure what to think of it. But, of course, he would most likely end up analyzing it until he was satisfied with what he knew.
