Name: Shunem
Alias: None
Age: Unknown, appears about sixteen when human
Gender: Unknown, although as a human Shunem chooses to be female, so that could be the closest representation of its gender.
Race: Jackal spirit;; representation of life and disaster
Personality:
Shunem is a changeable being, mysterious and unconforming as her (we're going to go with 'her' for simplicity) representation suggests. She can go from being vivacious, talkative, and lively to being angry or vile the next moment. She is a vengeful spirit, and will not take being wronged. But she is also a grateful spirit, and will certainly see that those who have assisted her in any manner will be paid back, no matter how long it takes. She is also just, but not merciful.
She is not confined by anything, and she is the sort that would react very negatively to being placed in a confined area. She values freedom, and would never set restraints on any other creature. In this way she is a freedom fighter, and cannot stand repression of any sort. To her, the world is a gift, and those born to it are lucky to have been able to develop upon it.
Shunem is, understandably, a lonely creature. She does not always feel saddened by this, because she knows her purpose and that she is important like every other creature. She is used to being alone so she does not fear solitude, but the fact that it is easy to for her to feel shunned has caused her some emotional discomfort.

When Shunem is in her natural form she is that of a black jackal with various markings and symbols around her right front leg, with one in the front and several down the back. She is also gifted with large smoky-gray colored wings which are able to carry her, despite that fact that most people would assume that a jackal could not be able to fly. But while on the outside her body is built like a jackal and a very large one at that, she is suprisingly light and agile because her bones are that of a bird's throughout her entire body. She has shaggy fur around her neck, and slight tufts of shaggy fur around her large ears. Her tail is not bushy (ignore that part of the pic), and has less fur on it than the rest of her body. Her tail is also rather long, ending in a slight point due to the formation of the hairs at the end of her tail. Her eyes are narrowed naturally, and seem to have no pupils or iris as her whole eye is the same smoky white that literally shine through the darkness. It is said that to see the eyes of Shunem in the night is an omen of approaching disaster.
As a human, Shunem has chosen a female form, with a head full of thick, unkempt black hair with smoky gray strands mixed in with the black. She has large dark green eyes that are completely emotionless, probably due to the fact that she does not know how to express emotion in her eyes due to her jackal eyes. She has pale skin that is only slightly pinker than the smoky gray color of her wings. There are no signs of life coming from her human body other than movements, as she does not seem to breathe when she is human, somehow extracting life force by other means. Her body is icy to the touch unless she chooses to warm it by absorbing the heat from the sun, and there is never a flush in her cheeks. She stands at the height of 5'6.3" as a human, and will wear clothes that are either mainly white in color, or a darker purple with white mixed in.
History:
Shunem was not exactly born. Being a spirit she has been around for a long time, and cannot recall how she came about. From the time she existed she only knew her purpose, and had to experiment with many things before she reached the level of power she now has. Her power, however, comes mainly from experience, and while she does have her abilities Shunem's main purpose is to be that of a sort of omen, to warn others. This has caused her to be considered a bad sort of entity, and therefore she has been shunned in many cultures. She is not intentionally who she is, being that she just is, but she is neither good nor bad, although she cannot change her purpose nor how others view her. Her whole existence has been the same thing over and over again, as she is vaguely uncertain about how to spend her days. She has a feeling that one day she will die, however, and has been waiting for that day for several years, having a feeling that she will be born again.

Senna watched him closely as he stopped and looked at her. She stared at the item that was now confronting her, no longer hidden by his hand or his shirt. She eyed it for a moment or so, taking in its features, but not being able to get a full look due to the slight distance separating them. She listened as Bakura pointed it out, wondering how in the world it could ‘point to things’, as he had said. It didn’t make sense to her, yet rather than argue about something she knew nothing about, she decided to simply acknowledge it.
“Ah, so that’s what’s been glowing.” She offered a tiny smile, “I doubted anyone was pure enough to make themselves glow.” She shrugged at that, knowing full well that her joke as lame, but she felt as though the situation warranted it. It seemed to her that an awkwardness was hanging between them, but perhaps that was just what Senna felt.
But had she said anything about being confused? No, but clearly this Bakura person had anticipated Senna’s confusion at some of the aspects of the item he had just described. The thought that it also confused him was of no consolation to her, however. Just because he was bound to know more about it than her because he owned it meant nothing to Senna, she always liked to be in the know, despite the fact that it was near to impossible (probably was impossible) for her to know everything.
Regardless, she didn’t really care about his stupid jewellery, no matter what kind of little compass ability it had. She’d only opened her mouth to be sarcastic about it because he’d tried to ditch her in a way that hadn’t sat right with her. Of course, if he’d wanted to hide it so bad the idiot could have just acted as though it was normal, and if she’d pointed it out just say that it was one of those tacky little party necklaces. Or something. That was what she would have done. C’mon, like that was so hard?
But then that would leave only part of the problem solved; getting away from her would be the other part, and quickly. She knew that that was tricky, she had to grant him that. She was always suspicious. By no means would she have gone stalker on the guy, but she’d have forced herself to be despicably nosy, gone out of her way to put him out of his way if he’d been anymore awkward in his attempted farewell. Hell, if he’d managed to escape her she would have had to applaud him. She could be so curious, so wrapped up in analyzing someone, that at times she didn’t want them to get away very quickly. At these times, she knew she had no other choice but to view the act of someone leaving her before she was ready to let that happen as an escape; it could be very difficult to get away, but she was like that purely for research reasons. Personal reasons, yes, but for the sake of her own research all the same. And she wasn’t unnaturally arrogant, Senna could indeed see fault with herself. She was only arrogant in the countenance that she felt as though she was more intelligent than everyone else.
But while Senna was indeed quick-witted and lacked the all-too-common simple-mindedness that most people her age had a tendency to possess, she was also clouded by her arrogance. She wouldn’t notice that someone had out-smarted her until after everything had been said and done, and she knew it. Which was why she had to be on her toes so often, because a surprise could come swiftly and mercilessly. But she didn’t even understand what she was so afraid of losing, and why she was so afraid of being outdone.
She didn’t say anything, noticing that Bakura had evidently spaced-out, and it seemed to her that he was probably going over his present situation. That seemed the logical reason to her, because it was what she would do. She looked over the somber expression on his face, wondering what was running through his head, if he were making an analysis of her, and if so, what he would make of it all.
“You can come with me if you want” he’d finally said.
Senna inattentively reached for the silver pendant around her neck, twirling the Anubis between her thumb and forefinger in a distracted manner, considering her current situation. She wasn’t lost, of course, not physically. But she had no plans for the day, and felt sort of odd, not knowing what to do with herself. He had given her a clear choice, and he’d made the right one. It was all pinned on her now, and there was no oblivious innocence for her to pick on and warp to suit her. This one was perfectly neutral, and it didn’t bother her, either. But whatever he had thought to accomplish by his blatantly uneventful invitation, she wasn’t sure. Perhaps he thought that she would dismiss him, but why would he? After all, wouldn’t it be assumed that she would? That this was too mundane for her to go out of her way to follow? So why would he make a plan just for that reason?
Well, if that was what he had thought, he was wrong. She certainly had nothing better to do, so she shrugged, darting forward to follow him, believing that she would have no trouble follow him. After all, he was only slightly taller than she was, and she did make it a point to stay healthy. She wondered where he was leading her, but decided she’d simply think upon it when they got there, after all, there was no way she wanted to go over all the possible destinations.
