The pair of sandals were easily slipped away from his now bare feet as the door slide open. There was quite a bit going on in the room but none of it fazed the spirit as a few workers scurried by him making sure that everything would be in tip top condition for the coming night. Just like every afternoon and every evening. Everything had to be perfect for the coming guests. That was just the way things were. Though it did work. Everything always seemed to be just right at the perfect time. It was a very well kept Bath House. A very popular Bath House, at that. That was why everything had to go perfectly. Wouldn't want to smudge that nice reputation.
At first the intense jade eyes just glanced around aimlessly as their owner slide the door behind him closed. Whenever his eyes just happened to meet another worker's they would turn away and Haku was left staring at the back of someone's head of side of their faces. Not that he minded too much. It was just another normal thing that he had long grown accustomed to. Something that he had learned to deal with. It was far from bothering him either. It was better to be feared as opposed to being pushed around by everyone. Sure he had to get his hands dirty every now and then but it came with the job. At times, he found he enjoyed it. He had grown fond of it.
Each step he took was carefully thought out but his face almost showed a carelessness as he made his way through workers and over whatever they were doing. Most would assume by looking at him that he was walking with a destination and was determined to get there whether it meant throwing them off or not. Really, he was thinking everything out without a real target. No mistakes. Everything needed to go smoothly.
All that he was doing now was making sure that everyone and everything was doing their job. There could not be any slackers. Haku was not one who tolerated slackers. It was something that had rubbed off on him over the years. It was not much of a ponder to figure out who it may have been from. He could not be easy on the workers. Haku could not be seen as weak. That would only cause him problems. So he had to be the distant, strict authority whenever no one was around. Someone had to and he would rather it be him then anyone else.
A few workers had stopped to socialize with one another and, at first, Haku ignored it. Only for a moment. The olive gaze turned toward the two females moments later and he merely had to stare to get them back to work. They knew that he could always snitch on them. Tell Yu-Baaba and let her punish them. Nobody wanted that. Haku even held the slightest fear of her. He tried his best not to show it and he suspected that he did not do half bad.
Time for nothing. Nothing but going around making sure work was done. That was all unless Yu-Baaba just happened to need him. Or if he figured that he had other business to attend. Not likely. Not likely at all.

Feet tapped on the stairs was a long blue dragon walked around with bright blue eyes looked around each corner before she saw some workers ran past her and she had to lift her feet up fo they would not crash into her and Andrea turned her head, nearly reaching them as her neck was long and she growled, snering as she showed them her teeth and the started to run away. Hardly seeing the scars though a few did stand out a lot being bright red or dark brown.
She walked farther down of of the Lobbies as Andrea tried her best not to make her tail crush into to the walls and she watched as the workers where getting ready for the coming guest who where spirits, but anyone would be stupid not to know that and Andrea put her back up so it wouldn't give her any more pain. Her eyes looked around with her face just blank before hiding and layed down softly before becoming her human forum and she looked around, a tight black necklace was around her neck though nothing handed from it, just sticking right around her neck. Andrea's jet black hair covered her face, from the scars hiding there as no way would she let anyone see them because that ment peopel asking, then telling Ya-Baaba and she would ask Andrea which she wouldn't like.
Many people stayed fom her way moving as fast as they could, because many of them remember the last time a worker for to Andrea, as they got eatten by her, plus she was hungry and no one blamed her though she did get in some trouble and she walked around again.
Andrea sighed as she put her head down, makign sure no one looked into her face but she knew her way and the workers knew not to get into her way much at all and she walked still, her eyes looking forward though her head faced down, with her black hair covering her face she shrugged before closing her eyes, leeting a new sigh out before bumping into some one, and the someone was Haku, and Andrea fell over and a few workers laughed and sickered as her hair fell from her face but Andrea pushed it back.

MOMO arrived into the bath house after a long day carrying spirits to the bathhouse and making demons and bad spirits pass on. As she did she noticed that the workers were all running and before her stood a dragon that then turned into it's human form. Through her body MOMO could feel the spirit pain and approached it without fear. "You are hurt i can feel you pain, let me bare your pain and remove it i can heal you.; said MOMO as she tried to put her hands on the injuries.

Something spiked his attention. At first he let it pass as a worker or a few workers going by doing their business. But, for some reason, he was not letting himself get his mind off of it so easily. Instead, it remained stuck there. It did not plan on letting him wonder either. So he finally gave in to his instincts and he stopped where he was. He was completely still; very statue like. Not even his eyes moved for a moment. He was in complete concentration. But it was not long before the forest green eyes began to flicker around in a quick, thorough manner. When they saw nothing more than the workers and clean surroundings of the Bath House, Haku felt a bit tense. This had yet to show.
Just a slight tightening of his stomach and a lump rising in his throat. If he had been a bit more angry with the fact that he suspected an unwelcome visitor than he was sure that the hairs on the back of his neck would have rose furiously. But they did not. Instead, Haku kept on his calm controlled look and merely decided to look around. In a calm sort of fashion, of course. But these harmonious feelings were quickly put to a stop when he felt someone or something bump into him.
The spirit almost took a step back when he felt the bump, but he stayed glued to the spot. His eyes instantly narrowed to show the fiery annoyance that was being fed behind them. When the jade eyes landed on the culprit he did not show any pity or even a care in the world for her. Like it really bothered him what her problems were. Running into him was clumsy and he found it to very irritating. The full on nasty look that he wanted to give her stayed covered up by the more civil one. Though his lip did curl into a slight frown to show his disapproval.
Was this the spirit he had been sensing earlier? The unrecognizable one? The one that had been driving him mad a few moments ago, to be more specific. He surely did not recognize the girl. Not in the least bit. She was not a worker, was she? If she was, why had he not noticed her before? This truly did end up bothering him.
"Watch where you are going."
He spoke evenly but their was an edginess in his voice. An obvious sign of annoyance. He could not help it. And those feelings of annoyance only rose when another spirit decided to cut in. This other girl did not seem as though she was an actual worker for the bath house. Something else maybe. Which caused Haku's irritation to rise even more. No guests in the Bath House at this time. It was not even nightfall yet.
"Get out of my sight unless you have something useful to say. Now what are you two doing here? Surely you are not workers of this Bath House."

MOMO turned around toward the boy that was talking to her so rudely. "I am Yubaba's Private death goddess MOMO," she said. "I pass on those she want passed on and bring those she want me to bring. This spirit is injured I am trying to heal it if you excuse me." She turned back towards the spirit and tried once more to lay her hand on it. "You who is called Haku is it not,"she asked him. "Make yourself useful and bring me a red flower with a blue center." said MOMO.

Hissing came from her as Andrea glared at MOMO snapping her mouth shut at her "I don't not need some silly worker to heal me. I can fine!" Andrea said growling turning her head before yelping and smaked the girls hand away from her. She didn't like people touching her at all, or where she was hurt besides the little spirit who saved her, Kero who Andrea was liking as a friend.
She raised a eeybrow watching the two, Haku and MOMO before laughing "You should watch where your going, or you may get a nasty bite" Andrea said, coldly as she didn't know it was Haku as she hardly remembered anyone's face from the bathhouse. Andrea started growling at the boy and sniffed slightly, turning her head to the side not caring if some of her black hair fell, her grey eyes stared at him and Andrea didn't stop before turning her ehad to the other side "I do not work here. I only do things Yu-Baaba really needs done, I am not a slave or worker here so rude to talk to someone who comes here" she said slowly, still staring at Haku with a blank face till she blinked.
She rolled her eyes turning her head to look at the other spirit "Wow 'This Spirit' is going to eat you up or beat you up soon as 'this spirit' has a name and doesn't need healing! I can heal up myself and this bath house" Andrea said, hissing and growling at MOMO as she wasn't liking this, she did have a name and she liked it before she shiver slightly before staring at Haku. "Haku. . . You, me, talk, like right now!" she said, half angry and half happy to see him but sighed because of him not even knowing who she was, or maybe he didn't remember her.

MOMO smiled a smile that was not hes as her hand was slapped away. She grabbed the spirit by the arm with a anger that was not hers, it was the spirit's anger. MOMO sneered letting out a small growl behind her voice. "Do not take me lightly," she said with a angry face. "With this one arm i'm holding you with i could make you pass on or send you to the land of shadows." said MOMO her body shaking unable to control the spirit anger within her. "Now shut up and show me your wound before I show you why I am a Death Goddess!" she said. Then suddenly she gained control again and breathing hard let the spirit go. "I apologize your anger was too much for me to bear." said MOMO as she let go and without warning fainted.

He wanted to smirk. He wanted a smart little grin to cross his face just to see if he could stir up a little conflict in these females. Annoyances could be so stimulating. But he knew he had to hold back. Haku knew very well that smirking would indeed, most likely, cause something. Whether it be physical or mental. He could not mess things up. That was his job. Keep things running smoothly and do whatever it was that Yu-Baaba needed him for. That was all. He was not supposed to go around and start brawls with random spirits. That was simply not how he worked. That was not how his brain functioned. It wasn't in his design. So he easily refrained from his tensed feelings of extreme irritation.
What he found so amusing was how closely to Yu-Baaba they apparently were. If so, then why had he not known of it? Had he not been around long enough to know of these things? Haku highly doubted that Yu-Baaba just picked spirits left and right to do things for her. But he also guessed that if she did he had no say in it. But he would know of it. Haku was not blind and he was hardly a fool.
The temptation to snap at this MOMO character had become great. Haku could care less what she did or who she was. It did not matter to him if she was Yu-Baaba's personal death goddess. It was something else that Haku could not help but place in the amusing category. He'd like to see this little death goddess try something. Of course, he did not dare say anything or show these temptations. He had a reputation, of sorts, to uphold. A job to keep more importantly.
"I don't take orders from other's very well. Now why don't you go do your job and kill something rather than help it."
His voice was rather low as his green stare stayed unmoving on MOMO. Actually, he made it seem like he was completely ignoring this other girl who was threatening him with growls and biting. What characters he had ran into today. What annoying little smudges on this almost perfect picture. He hardly had the time for this nonsense.
"I'd like to see you try and bite me, girl."
This time he had no fear in showing his agitation. Each of his eyes narrowed at the darker haired woman and his lip almost curled back with the signs of disgust. Almost. Haku was not one to loose his temper so quickly.
When she said his name and explained that she needed to speak with him, Haku did not soften his features. They almost seemed to harden and become darker. He had yet to actaully do anything. Especially when the other girl insisted on healing her wounds. Only in a more violent manner. If her outburst had lasted any longer Haku was sure that he would have pulled her aside. He almost had. That sort of nonsense was not tolerated. He actually found himself snarling at her sudden change, but it had been covered up by her speaking.
Before the young male managed to give her a warning, she was out. Just like that. The all mighty death goddess had passed out on the spot. Not so menacing now. Now she was just in the way. Possibly an eyesore if she remained where she was any longer.
Haku immediately felt his nerves calm so he would be able to take some sort of charge again. His eyes turned toward a pair of workers who had taken in the scene. They looked rather dumbfounded. Time to snap them out of it.
"You two, do something with this death goddess. Take her to a room. Anything. Just get her out of my sight."
Finally her turned back to the girl who had been the victim in MOMO's little outburst. Haku's features had finally lightened but they were far from a friendly grin.
"What?"

Andrea sneared at MOMO "To Bad! I am stuck here and the human world!" she half yelled before smirking as the girl fell then looked at Haku "I can bite very nasty for a Dragon. But I don't bite people who shouldn't be biten" she said before looking at the girl before pushing her with her foot and laughed softly.
She looked at Haku. What to say? she though befoer shaking her head, but only to herself then her grey eyes darted back to Haku "The human. Sen, why didn't you send her back? Because she came back and has been going back to her world. Our spirit world may soon fall into her world. About seven tiems have I've been there and back today. And that can't be good" Andrea said looking at him, raising a eyebrow.

The river spirit shifted his eyes in an almost casual manner when the girl began explaining to him what was going on. The thing was, he could not do anything about it. Why would she expect him to send Chihiro back anywhere? He did not control her or her decisions. She did what she wanted and that was that. There was no stopping the girl when she got started. Him interfering with anything was useless. Besides, she did not go back to the human world. Did she? From what he had gathered, she was working here again. She could not leave this place without some sort of permission. Haku knew that she might, but he doubted that she was going back and forth. She would not do that. She wanted to be here. That was what she had told him. With him.
That thought only caused him to frown slightly with annoyance. It was a stupid reason to come back. Because she was worried about him. Nonsense. There was nothing to worry about. Not about him. He was fine and there was really nothing that would go horribly wrong. He would not let it. Not without a fight. Not without trying to stop it.
"What are you coming to me for? There is nothing that I can do. Why don't you go to someone who can do something about it. You and this MOMO girl seem to be close to Yu-Baaba. I'm sure you can work something out."
Haku practically growled his last three sentences. All that anger that had been building up wanted to burst. Though he would not let it. Not all the way. It was alright to snap. It only made his point even more clear. Besides, if they did work for Yu-Baaba like they claimed they did, then they should go to her. Not him seeing as he was not the Yu-Baaba's personal servant. Apparently.
"Now, leave me be. You have no concerns with me."
Haku did not even give her a glance. His Eyes stared straight passed her and over her shoulder. Over at something that was not her. Something that was not a problem. Something simple like a wall. That was something that did not cause problems. Not like beings. Not like living creatures. Well, living for the most part.

No rat race for me...unless we're racing to fix a boiler.

Screams started coming from the workers nearby. Coupled with these were screams of 'it's a beast', or 'kill it', or 'don't let it touch you'. A large blackish lump of fur was occasionally visible among the crowd of workers, and even a few who were seemingly chasing it.
Before long, the 'beast' became visible. It was a giant rat-like creature with jackal ears and an order tag hanging from it's four rat teeth. It's fur was a dark brown, bordering closely to black, and was coated in soot. This soot was leaving paw prints on the ground, and the rat's claws were scratching the wood, making it imperfect. Spiked fur along the back of the rat's head and the tops of it's elbows and knees was blown back by the force of it's running, as were it's long ears.
As the rat ran directly toward the group, they could distinguish that it was female, and that it wore a black t-shirt and a pair of black Capris that were tight on her body. Her emerald green eyes snapped open in time for her to skid across the ground to avoid falling into the group, leaving skidded soot marks and removing long curls of wood from the floor. She sniffed the air a few times, then locked her eyes onto Haku's and stared.
This male smelt a little like what she recalled Yu-Baaba to smell like, so it meant he probably knew where she would be...which would make Ratt's search easier. Unknown to the group, Ratt, who normally stayed in the boiler room to fix the boiler, had been sent by Kamagi to complain to Yu-Baaba that they were out of coal, and out of the key ingredients for the order card in her mouth, one that Kamagi was getting lots of orders for. Haku also smelt like the air did after most of the workers had gone to bed, and Ratt watched from the boiler room door as a white dragon left from one of the windows high up...a dragon that she had come to hate for being so free. Ratt was usually not allowed to leave the boiler room, or to talk to anyone but Kamagi, the soot creatures, and whoever brought her food. The latter of which was a chance only given to her once every other night.
