Haku just stared back at her hiding everything behind his eyes and skin. Thankfully he wasn't a blubbery mess and crying. That would be terrible. As far as he knew, he didn't cry and that was perfectly fine with him. Emotions were usless anyways. He just stared back at her when he heard her little idiot comment. Of course she was reffering to him, but he didn't mind. It wasn't like it cut him deep. Maybe he was an idiot. Fine. "Maybe I am an idiot. But the only reason I am here is because of humans. If it weren't for them then I would have never ended up here," he shot back. "And what do you propose I do? Run away to the human world? Take a train? I doubt it would be that easy. At least I've learned to accept my place."

Chihiro stomped her foot now really ticked, she was having a relaxing time sleeping and now she was grumpy.Raising a hand she slapped him across the face,if he needed another one she would gladly oblige.
"Yu-baaba is not here right now,we're the only one's standing in this room.Drop the act around me I know you better then that, your a nice guy.Sure you can run me down, push me aside and call me names even I don't know.....bonk me on the head and call me a idiot."
So he didn't want to show his emotions fine,so he wanted to act all cool and tough that was fine as well. But how much longer was he going to act like this, unless that witch snuck a nasty old slug back into Haku.
"Your not being controlled anymore,so just........stop it".

Twice in the last few days. A slap mark for each cheek now. What was it with human girls and slapping him? He must have really been a jerk to get slapped twice in such close time periods. Maybe human girls were over emotional like this a lot. But he knew he would have plenty of time to think about it later and now was not the time. He brought his hand up to his cheek. Now his head really hurt. His eyes drifted away from her again as his mind ran blank on any comment to make after that. He didn't know what to say. Acting? Hardly. Ok, so maybe a little but it was only half and half. He was half acting and half not acting. There was a difference. He had to do it though. If he didn't then he would probably be a mess right now. And not even he would be able to stand that sight. He had those stupid feelings for her and this was the only way to get rid of them. To act it off and eventually forget about them. "No," he finally said. "I'm not acting. And I'm not going to stop."

"Why do you hate me so much, why can't you just accept me.Alright it's time to stop acting like a spoiled child, just get out of here and leave me alone".
Chihiro pushed him out of the room, sliding the door closed and just giving a tired sigh. She couldn't keep this up much longer, maybe some more sleep would make her a little less grumpy and less snappy at people.
"And next time don't bother talking to me,i'm through trying to be nice to you.I'm a human so don't bother with me,i'm a nobody.......NOBODY......".
Chihiro put a hand to her head, she felt like she was heating up.A fever must have been from overworking herself,or just getting really ticked off at Haku she fell backwards.

After getting pushed out of the room Haku stood outside of the door and leaned against it for a moment. He put his head down and looked down at the hard wooden floor boards beneath him. They suddenly seemed very interesting. He furrowed his eye brows and closed his eyes for a moment as he bit down on the inside of his cheek to keep himself from yelling or trying to fix this. It was over and that was that. No more worrying and no more pretnding. He could taste blood on his tongue and his cheek go numb but he simply ignored it. As long as he was quiet he could handle a little blood. It didn't even hurt. His head sure did though. And the outside of his cheek still stung a little bit. But he had to ignore it. But he couldn't leave it exactly at that. He didn't have the heart. He wasn't that cold. So he turned his head to the side so he could look back at the door that he was firmly leaning on. "I didn't think you were a nobody," he said quietly, doubting she would hear. "Goodbye, Chihiro."

Kero walked up the stairs shaking the soot off himself, stupid soot balls wouldn't even make way for him to bring that coal to the furnace. He was just coming back up to check on his master, some cookies bundled up in a cloth he was going to offer to Chihiro as a sorry then stopped setting it down.
"Hey Master Haku I didn't think you'd still be up here,I finished my job in the boiler room and brought these cookies for that human."
Picking them up again he sat near the door, waiting for someone to open it up for him.

Haku opened his eyes and looked down at the little spirit who was still dusting himself off. Then he looked at the cookies he would have snappped at him, but he wasn't in the mood. Not to mention he was afraid to look down and talk in fear some blood would trickle out. He could always swallow it. It wasn't like there was a whole bunch of it. Just a drop. He noticed that Kero had sat by the door like a house cat waiting to go inside. So Haku simply slid the door open just wide enough for the little creature to get through without saying a word of protest. He had enough arguing for one day. Now he just wanted to sleep or something. His head felt terrible and he just felt terrible all over. Inside and out. He glanced down at Kero waiting for him to go inside.

Unbundling the cookies he took out a special one putting it by Haku's feet, then picked up the rest and went inside setting the cookies on the floor.Poking the laying down Chihiro lightly he waited for her to wake up,before looking back over to Haku.
"You got slapped didn't you,oh that cookie will help you with your headache you can thank me later".
See he wasn't all bad, poking the girl again he put a paw to her cheek then to her forehead feeling she was burning up.
"Hey Master are humans suppose to heat up like furnaces, because this one is burning up like a fire ready to explode".

Haku stared down at the cookie at his feet. He might have smiled, but he didn't. He simply stared at it like it was another piece of the floor. His mind was completely frozen as he waited for Kero to reapear from the door. That was until he heard Kero speaking to him. He turned his head and peeked him. That girl had passed out that fast she must have been tired. When he heard the comment on the burning part he slid the door opened and walked in towards the two of them. Then he knelt down next to Chihiro and put his hand on her shoulder shaking her slightly. No, humans weren't supposed to burn up like furnaces. He placed the back of his hand against her cheek and felt the heat coming off of her. A fever? He was no good with this sick stuff. He brought his hand back down to her shoulder and began shaking her softly again. "Chihiro?" he asked hiding the worry as best he could.

"Uh shouldn't we get some water or something,I don't know how humans deal with getting sick."
Chihiro seemed passed out from the fever she had, humans we're so hard to figure out sometimes. When Kero left her awhile ago she seemed to be fine, and now he comes back trying to make a peace offering and she has a fever.
"What are suppose to do,this is why humans should stay in their own world. If they stay then we don't have to deal with them getting sick, those parents of theirs can take care of them and give them soup or something right".

Haku had no idea what Kero was talking about. Humans needed soup and water when they were sick? They couldn't just sleep it off or something? This day was turning even more into a mess than it already was. How could things get any worse? Haku imediatly stopped thinking about that though. He really didn't want to end up jinxing it or something. Make it ten times worse than it was. If that was even possible. "Uh, right," he said rubbing his own head now. "Get some water and a rag or something. I guess.."

"What do I look like to you,a spirit who can lift all that why don't you do it.And hey I always heard from my other masters before the temple went up,when humans are sick they need a cold rag to put on their head and soup or medicine to bring the fever down".
His previous master's in the human world always talked near his shrine, saying how the young miss of the house got sick and the medicine they used.Alot of things we're spoken by his shrine and he always listened, after they we're gone he turned against humans since it was their fault he was here.
"Humans lives are fickle things, unlike us spirits who never have to worry about things like this.....or do we."

What was Haku thinking? Of course that little runt wouldn't be able to carry a bucket of water and a rag in here. Curse Haku's luck. He had to get stuck with a temporary servant that was the size of his foot. Every higher power than himself must have really hated him to put him in this situation. But instead of arguing any longer with himself, he got up and hurried down the stairs to figure out where they kept all the buckets and what not. After a few minutes passed and a few splashes of water, Haku came back through the entry way and dropped the bucket next to Chihiro with a sigh. Then he snapped his fingers. A rag. He looked around a ended up just grabbing the end of someone's blanket and ripping it. He was not running back down stairs and getting anymore weird looks. He folded the 'towl' up and then soaked it in the water and rung it out. He then dropped it on top of Chihiro's head and sat there waiting for something to happen. "Nothings happening," he informed Kero.

"You really are a idiot aren't you, well I didn't want to get caught up in this but i'll show you how it's done with love and care".
He pushed the rag a little higher up,till it was level with her forehead well first making sure she was on her back.Nothing was going to happen right away of course, humans didn't heal instantly after all.
"The fever won't go down right away, you have to keep putting the rag in the water and putting it back on her head to keep her cool. You never learned anything in the human world,i'm sure many things happened by your river did they not".

"Not that I know of," Haku said watching the little spirit intently. "I can't exactly remember that far back." He acted like he had lived in the bath house for two hunderd years. Well it felt like it so it still would count in Haku's book. But he had never exactly learned how to take care of humans. Why would he? He wasn't a human and he certaintly was related to any or would be one day. So he didn't need to worry about. At least that was what he thought. "How long do you have to do that?" Haku asked reffering to the rag and constant dipping in the water thing. "It won't take all day will it?"
